Making a CTP insurance claim in South Australia

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident on or before 30 June 2016, where the vehicle at fault was registered in South Australia, you may be entitled to compensation under the SA CTP Scheme.

You will not be able to make a CTP claim in South Australia if:

- You were entirely at fault in the accident; or

- The vehicle at fault was not registered in South Australia. You may, however, be able to claim against the CTP Scheme of the state in which the vehicle was registered.

For more information on your entitlement to make a claim or lodge a claim, please:

- call Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group CTP SA on 1300 618 389;

- email admin@bhctpsa.com.au; or

- write to GPO Box 2198 Adelaide SA 5001.

For any queries on your lodged claim you can contact Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group CTP SA:

- by phone on 1300 618 389

- by email at admin@bhctpsa.com.au

- in writing via GPO Box 2198 Adelaide SA 5001.

For accidents occurring on or after 1 July 2016, contact the CTP Regulator www.ctp.sa.gov.au or call 1300 303 558.

The Motor Accident Commission in SA is supporting all CTP claims with an accident date on or before 30 June 2016 by reinsurance with National Indemnity Company, one of the Berkshire Hathaway group of insurance companies, who will handle all such claims.  National Indemnity Company will use assistance for handling those claims from Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group CTP SA, which is a trading name of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company.
